MQA Charity in Action

"We may not be able to do it all....but we all can do something."

Who we are...
Charity in Action is a community within the larger community of Mary Queen of the Apostles Parish in Brook Park, Ohio.  It is a family that joins together to do God’s work through Love of Neighbor.  In addition to the opportunity to serve, MQA Charity in Action also provides the opportunity to get to know other parishioners through its service and social activities.

The inspiration for our group comes from the Letter of James...
"What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith, but do not have works?  Can faith save you?  If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food, and one of you says to them, 'Go in peace, keep warm, and eat your fill,' and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that?  So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead."

Many people are willing to do works, but they don’t get linked to service opportunities for a variety of reasons (sometimes things as simple as they aren’t asked or they don’t know how to find the needs). Charity in Action is a group that provides service opportunities to individuals willing to step up to serve whenever, wherever, and however.

What we do...
MQA Charity in Action performs both collection activities and service projects.  Members are involved in our activities according to their interest and available time.  Whatever a member's participation...whether once a week, once a month, or once a year...we all make a difference!!

"We may not be able to do it all....but we all can do something."
